Kruti Dev typing test: how it works

What a Kruti Dev typing test is
Kruti Dev 010 is a legacy Hindi font that draws Hindi letters in place of English characters. Typing in Kruti Dev uses the Remington typewriter arrangement, where each English key types a fixed Hindi shape, not a sound-alike letter.
This test records your Remington keystrokes and converts them to Unicode on screen, so you see real Hindi without installing Kruti Dev.
Exams that accept Kruti Dev typing
SSC CHSL listed Kruti Dev as a Hindi option in its 2019 skill test notice, and several state-level and court recruitment tests still use it. Others have moved to Unicode layouts such as InScript and Remington GAIL. Check the layout named in your notice before you choose what to practise.
Limits of online Kruti Dev practice
A few Kruti Dev characters are typed with Alt codes on a real computer. This test does not simulate Alt-code entry, so practise those characters in your exam software or word processor.
