Manglish typing and Malayalam chillu letters
Manglish is Malayalam written with Roman letters. Type namaskaram for നമസ്കാരം or malayalam for മലയാളം. The word suggestions let you choose between spellings that share a similar Roman input.
Pay attention to chillu letters such as ൻ, ൽ and ർ, as well as doubled consonants and vowel length. These differences matter in names and at word endings. Choose a complete suggested word or edit the Malayalam output directly.
The output uses Unicode Malayalam. Older ML and FML font encodings use different character mappings. This editor creates new Malayalam text; it does not decode an existing document written in one of those legacy fonts.
