Marathi typing in Devanagari
For Marathi typing online, enter the word as it sounds: namaskar becomes नमस्कार. The editor uses Marathi language data even though Marathi and Hindi both use Devanagari.
Check the difference between ल and ळ when choosing a spelling. Marathi names and everyday words can need ळ, which is not interchangeable with ल. A longer Roman spelling may make the intended word easier to identify.
Copy the finished Unicode Marathi text into a document or message. Legacy Shree-Lipi or other font-encoded text needs a matching converter; selecting a Devanagari font alone does not change its encoding.
Editing and saving your text
